The store features dark grey, matt porcelain tiles and large colourful graphics depicting outdoor forest environments, complementing the brands product and enticing buyers in. In keeping with the brands changing advertising campaigns, the graphics are replaced roughly every two months.
Lite oak wooden fixtures have been decoratively and strategically placed on top of the graphics. Bright retail lighting was installed to give the illusion of a slightly larger shop space and to illuminate the merchandise. Wooden shelves and bronze-iron railings have been included to allow the product to be displayed in a faux rugged setting. As the store’s main focus is shoes, railings could be kept to a minimum, with maximum shoe display shelves at the sides and front of the shop. Jackets, coats and shirts are hung on the central rails, seen as central podiums and hanging systems.
A large storeroom at the back of the shop holds over x400 pairs of shoes, cleverly built beneath a sloped concrete slab to maximize the storage space. A heavy weight mirrored door on a pivot camouflages the storeroom behind it. The sprinklers proved to be a real challenge to Sam Esra Dezigns, as they had to be accommodated under the slope slabs in places.
A large, full height glass shop front and glass pivot doors were another challenge, as the mall floor sloped and the shop front had to be adjusted to suit. All were, however, successfully installed.
